Audiology Products was started by audiologist Dr. Ken Ullrich. His goal was to develop a disposable
earphone cover to prevent patient cross-contamination. Beginning in 1996, the company began
manufacturing and dispensing the AcoustiCover, the first infection control/acoustically
transparent earphone cover. The patented cover was studied by the National Institute of
Standards and Technology and has the FDA Class II Medical Device classification. The covers
are being used in Alaska USA to as far away as the Sultanate of Oman.
In 1998 we introduced
the TV SoundShower™ ListeningLamp™, the first wireless and batteryless TV listening device for the
hearing impaired. We have also introduced infection control covers for telephones and computer
keyboards.
